"Thank You" to our Runners and Volunteers for making this Year’s Devil Run event a Success!

The Team of 3C10K would like to say "Thank You" to everyone who came out and participated in this year’s Devil Run! The day would not have been possible without all the amazing runners, volunteers, sponsors and supporters who were a part of the event. We are grateful for your support!

Clive Stone the charities Chief Executive said: "I am extremely grateful to the organisers for asking us to take part but also want to give my enormous thanks to all those that competed. The money they helped raise through their entry fees, will be put immediate use to support our vital work with over 350 adults across west Surrey who have a mental health illness".

Need something to aim for? Look no further than The Devil Run elevated, it’s new and tough, challenging yet rewarding; we have come up with a selection of adventurous routes for this year’s events. Something different to your average 5k, 10k or half marathon.
Not to replace them, as they are the lifeblood of amateur running, but to enhance what is available and give another option. In particular, “runners were indicating they wanted something different that didn’t involve obstacles and water, unless it’s raining!”

I would like to thank all participants in our 5K, 10K XC Run and 15K ‘DEVIL RUN’ with a twist which took place on Sunday 18th of September 2016. To raise awareness of positive mental health, funds and support for halow'sA Reason to Get Up Programme’ which offers young adults with a learning disability meaningful work based daytime activities.

The halow project, based in Guildford is a registered charity dedicated to creating opportunities and supporting young people aged 16-35 with a learning disability so that they are able to live independent, meaningful, fulfilled lives and become more involved in their local community.

The projects within this service include an IT Group: looking at CV’s, blogging and job searches, a Crafty Group: creating and upcycling products and a Garden Group: selecting and nurturing various plants and vegetables in our own halow allotment.

Halow
We are happy to inform all our charitable runners and future runners that this year local charity we are working with is
The halow project.

Oakleaf Enterprise imagenewsOn behalf of Three Counties 10k Ltd. I would like to thank all participants in our 5K, 10K XC Run and 15K ‘DEVIL RUN’ with a twist which took place on Sunday 20th of September 2015. To raise awareness of positive mental health, funds and support for Oakleaf’s 18th birthday. With your help we were able to raise £401.35.

Oakleaf is the only mental health in Surrey working as a social enterprise to provide vocational training for those suffering from mental health issues. They offer training in IT, horticulture and upholstery, alongside a variety of social inclusion activities, enabling people to acquire new skills, re-build confidence and ultimately return to work. Deepti Parmar, events and marketing executive at the charity, said: "We are pleased to be selected as this year's charity for the 'Devil Run'. It was amazing to see so many supporters taking part, and likewise, we had the opportunity to share the vital work Oakleaf provides with a larger community. A special thank you to Three Counties 10k Ltd for organising a fantastic event."

Swinley Forest is designated as a Special Protection Area (an SPA).

It’s internationally important for its rare and threatened birds particularly Nightjar, Dartford Warbler and Woodlark, as well as its heaths, grassland, lakes, ponds and woods.

WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW ON THE DAY OF THE RUN?

Check in and picking up of bib numbers are from 9am up till 10:15am, same applies to runners who want to sign up on the Sunday 22nd.
Our designated office (Tent) would be in plain sight. Just follow the sign posts for directions or approach one of our marshals for directions. Come straight through and park in the National Trust Car Park. Or the Devil’s Punchbowl Hotel Car Park.

The cafe is open from 9:00am and start serving tea, sandwiches etc..
The Devil’s Punch Bowl Hotel opens at 8:00am and will be serving Sunday special calvary food from 08.00am – 10am and
lunch at 12pm onwards.

Please hand in your bib numbers at the end of your run for the raffle draw.

The 15k ‘DEVIL RUN’ run, 10k Cross Country run and the 5k Cross Country run will start and finish at The National Trust Cafe Hindhead Surrey taking in some of the most beautiful scenery in Surrey but do not be fooled by this beautiful National Trust land. The run will require not only your Fitness and Stamina but Total Concentration.

All information about the ‘Devil Run’, 10k Cross Country and the 5k Cross Country run can be found on this site. Also applicants are required to fill in an entry form for the 15k ‘Devil Run’, 10k Cross Country and the 5k Cross Country run.

You may run in your club colours or any clothing you may feel appropriate but make sure your footwear is up to the task and please give yourself a warm up before the start of the run.

AN INCREDIBLE SUMMER FOR BRITISH SPORT

It looks like we are finally coming to the end of an incredible summer for British sport.
We boost to an excellent Olympic and Paralympics athletes , Jenson Button’s win in Belgium and Lewis Hamilton’s win in Italy, and through the night across the Atlantic in New York Andy Murray finally ended the 76-year wait for a men's tennis grand slam victory. In addiction to this excellent sport summer; is The ‘DEVIL RUN’ @ The Devil’s Punchbowl......be there to make this summer an epic one.

WHY HAVE I NOT RECEIVED A CONFIRMATION E-MAIL?
We acknowledge your entry within 10 working days of the receipt date or earlier. Sometimes these acknowledge of entry E-mails can end up in junk/spam folders. We advice to check your spam folders for you acknowledge of entry E-mails.

WHY HAVE I NOT RECEIVED MY RACE NUMBER?
Race numbers are not sent out but are given to all runners on race day. You would need to sign in to collect your number and hand them back after the race for a raffle draw. You would also need to turn up before 9am to sign in and collect your numbers as race starts 9am prompt.

CAN I REGISTER ON THE SAME DAY?
Yes you can register and partake in the 15k ‘DEVIL RUN’ or 10K CROSS COUNTRY RUN on the 23rd September, 2012.
Provided you turn up before 9am to do so. CASH ONLY!

SERVICE INTERRUPTION

Threecounties10k official website experienced a server failure completely in an unexpected way; our server team has currently moved all of the files to another server. We thank you for your patients and we are sorry for inconvenience it may have caused to some who have been trying to enter the race for the past two days. Service has resumed normally and registrations are still going on.


BRIEF

Three Counties 10k Ltd have acquired ‘THE DEVIL RUN’ at The Devils Punch Bowl from A M Leisure Ltd.
The Three Counties name was devised due to the location of the first cross country run on The Devils Punch Bowl at Hindhead which is approximately one mile from each of the three counties Surrey West Sussex and Hampshire.

The run will be held entirely on The National Trust Land part of which has been reclaimed from the highways department due to the Hindhead Tunnel being opened.


IN AID OF ROYAL NAVY AND ROYAL MARINES CHARITY

‘THE DEVIL RUN’ is organised to raise awareness and support for Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity based in Portsmouth.
